MPREX Inc., located at 69 Church St. E. in Acton, Ontario, is seeking 1 experienced drywall installer for commercial and residential construction. This is a permanent full-time position with an hourly wage of 35.50.

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Minimum 2-years experience

Tasks:
Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster
Clean and prepare surfaces
Cure freshly plastered surfaces
Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required
Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts and electrical outlets
Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
